About the role
We are seeking passionate and talented students who are interested in drone building and design. As a Drone Building and Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that directly contribute to the safety and security of the nation. This training offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and manufacturing of drones.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of drone prototypes and components.
Required a strong knowledge in Design calculations from paper pen to software.
Collaborate with the engineering team to build and test drones.
Participate in research and development projects focused on enhancing drone capabilities.
Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and design specifications.
Support the integration of new technologies and materials into drone designs.
Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest and passion for drone technology and unmanned aerial systems.
Basic knowledge of drone components, systems, and design principles.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing drone parts.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with drone building, robotics, or related projects.
Knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and control systems.
Experience with 3D printing and other rapid prototyping techniques.
Understanding of the regulatory and safety considerations for UAVs.
